FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ALREADY CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE / ASSISTANT
The Patient Care Technician course includes both theory and clinical training, with a focus on professional development of PCTs. Graduates will be able to measure and record vital signs, perform CPR/First Aid and assist in medical examination; perform electrocardiograms (EKGs), phlebotomy, and other basic laboratory procedures. In addition to the learning components, students will have extensive practical instruction in the delivery of patient care. This program meets New York State Education Department requirements for certification as a Patient Care Technician.

Mornings:
Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM for 4 weeks
Evenings:
Monday – Thursday, 5:30 PM – 10 PM for 5 weeks
Weekends:
Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM for 13 weeks
Enrollment Requirements
Eligibility for entrance, the following items are required of all applicants:
- Tour of the center in person.
- Proof of High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or higher College Degree from an accredited school in the United States.
- Foreign country high school diploma or higher college degree (must be in English or translated into English).
